Welcome!

Thank you, Chesapeake!

I truly appreciate your faith and confidence in me by once again electing me to city council. I will do all I can to serve you to the best of my ability.

On July 1, I will take the oath of office in the Council Chambers (Update: here are my remarks from the meeting).

We have many challenges ahead, but I know that we can achieve great success by working together.

Debbie, Ron, and the grandkidsThanks for taking the time to visit my Web site and learn more about our great community and the vision necessary to keep it strong, vibrant, safe, and prosperous.

My campaign for Chesapeake City Council is based on my love for this city and its people. At the core of everything we do, city government somehow plays a role: whether its the safety of our streets or trash pick-up day, you can generally see that something regarding city policy has an impact on your life. Because of this fundamental fact, it’s imperative that we, the citizens, take our city government seriously and that those elected are held accountable to the people, exercise prudence, and act responsibly.

I have been a public servant for over a decade, and during that service, I have learned that the best means of accomplishing goals for our community is to have respect for the citizens and civic leaders. By listening to those in the community, exercising good judgment, and developing comprehensive plans, together, we can overcome any obstacle and meet any objective.

Since my last term in office, I have remained active and engaged in the community, listening to your needs and concerns. During this period of time, I have developed several initiatives that I believe will improve our city and build upon our successes. I am looking forward to hearing more of your ideas and am ready to put them into practice.

Please browse this Web site for the latest information on the campaign and our ideas for a better Chesapeake. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, would like to contribute an idea that will improve our community, or want to find out how you can help with the campaign.

I look forward to hearing from you!
